RPA Overview

2470 Arrayer
Microarray Printing Platform

Aushon’s 2470 microarrayer produces high quality arrays of DNA, proteins, cell lysates and a variety of other samples using its proprietary soft touch deposition technology.  The 2470 is a highly engineered platform designed with quality, reliability, flexibility and true walk-away automation in mind.  Our unique deposition technology enables printing of even complex biological samples onto a broad range of substrates such as slides, membranes, microtiter plate wells, disks, wafers and chips.

2470 Features:

  • Unmatched sample flexibilty (DNA to Cell Lysates)
  • Capable of printing on most any substrate
  • High density printing with unequaled accuracy
  • Fully enclosed printing platform
  • User-friendly software interface

MICROARRAY INSTRUMENTATION:

Quality
Built upon a strong engineering foundation and our staff's years of experience in the microarrayer market, the 2470's innovative design produces exceptional quality, performance and reliability.   The 2470 Arrayer uses a proprietary soft-touch deposition technology and has unique features to increase quality such as sample exposure time compensation that eliminates any evaporation variability due to differences in the distance from sample plates and substrates.  It is features such as these in conjunction with Aushon’s exceptional pin quality that produce extremely low coefficients of variation (CVs), typically ranging from <1 to single digit percentages.

Flexibility
The 2470 Arrayer has unmatched versatility, able to print any sample type onto substrates with unique shapes and chemistries as well as the most delicate of substrates such as nitrocellulose and silicon chips.  From genomic materials to antibodies and cellular lysates, Aushon’s unique solid pin architecture reliably produces arrays of exceptional quality.

Array Flexiblity

144 spot/well array printed in a 96-well plate (upper left), Genomic microarray (upper right), Cy3-tagged genonmic sub-array (lower left) and an antibody array (lower right). Over 1000 spots can be printed into each well of a 96-well plate; over 100 spots can be printed into each well of a 384-well plate.

Unmatched protein array functionality

Aushon ’s 2470 Arrayer is capable of high density protein arraying using purified proteins, antibodies and more complex biological samples such as cell lysates, plasma and serum.

Our proprietary deposition technology reliably produces cell lysate arrays of exceptional quality, overcoming the limitations associated with arraying viscous samples such as pin clogging and the irregular printing observed using other arrayers.   This makes the 2470 Arrayer the ideal choice for production of reverse phase arrays.

Print headProprietary soft-touch deposition technology
With its proprietary pin design and print architecture, the 2470 Arrayer is the most flexible and reliable microarray printing platform.   It is a fully enclosed platform containing an environmentally-controlled print chamber and all the support sub-systems necessary for printing.  Aushon’s pins are manufactured with nanometer tolerances and have sub-micron positioning resolution to ensure exceptional print quality and consistency.  Print heads are available containing a variety of pin sizes and numbers to accommodate the full range of user needs.

Screen CaptureUser-friendly software interface

The 2470 Arrayer’s graphical user interface (GUI) is intuitive and simple to use, yet enables sophisticated control of all aspects of a print run.  Users are walked through a simple but comprehensive set of print run options as well as detailed instructions for source plate and substrate platen loading.  Additionally, users may recall previous print run settings to further simplify print run initiation.

This interface also allows for effortless run monitoring by displaying print run progress, warning messages and required user actions thus ensuring reliable, high quality printing.
